Each hoodie has a light, eco-friendly, water-repellent coating to keep you dry in light rain. No PFAS or “forever chemicals” have been used to create this coating. Our water-repellent coating is vegetable-based and is totally fluorine free.

At Rens, we take sustainability very seriously. We founded our company to create unique and hyper-functional apparel that is supercharged with unique and sustainable materials, and always fully vegan. Your Rens Hoodie is made from a 60/40 blend of Bamboo Viscose and Rens’ Signature coffee yarn.

Our signature coffee yarn helps cut the amount of methane-producing food waste that ends up trapped in our landfills while providing a material that is odor-fighting, moisture-wicking, and quick-drying. 

The recycled polyester that makes up part of our coffee yarn is made from plastic bottles. This material not only reduces the number-one source of plastic pollution in our oceans and waterways but also creates an incredibly durable textile that can stand up to any activity you can throw at it. 

Whenever we mention bamboo, you’ll notice that we always use the phrases rayon from bamboo or bamboo viscose. Here’s why: 

Bamboo is one of the most resource-efficient and sustainable crops on the planet. It also produces one of the softest and gentle materials known to man. Despite how gentle it may be, turning coarse bamboo fiber into incredibly soft bamboo viscose is a chemically intensive operation called the viscose process and we don’t shy away from that. 

All textiles require some amount of chemical processing and we believe all clothing brands must ensure the safety of their partners, local communities, wildlife, and waterways.  

This is why we have formed close personal relationships with our partners to do just that. Not only do we stay in constant communication with our partners, but we make sure they have the certifications to back it up. 

All bamboo viscose material is FSCⓇ Chain of Custody certified to ensure that all bamboo is cultivated, harvested, and transported using sustainable forestry management practices at every stage of the production process. 

In addition to responsible forestry practices, our rayon from bamboo carries an OEKO-TEXⓇ Standard 100 certification. This means that the material has been rigorously tested to ensure the highest chemical safety standards available have been applied to our material.  

Bamboo Rayon, like all materials, brings with it benefits as well as drawbacks. On one hand, it requires chemical treatments that can be hazardous when handled carelessly. However, when the process is carried out responsibly, it can be one of the most sustainable fibers available.  

Because it’s made with one of the most renewable crops on the planet—with zero pesticides or fertilizers, and only a fraction of the water required by cotton—we believe it is truly one of the best materials available to make your new favorite eco-friendly hoodie.

We keep emissions low wherever possible by using sustainable materials, cleaner production methods and efficient eco-friendly shipping.

Calculate

Unfortunately, not all emissions can be avoided. Together with ClimatePartner, we calculate the total climate emissions generated from production and until delivery to a regional warehouse.

Offset

We offset all unavoidable emissions through recognized climate action projects such as reforestation, ocean plastic clean-up, funding green energy projects, and more.

We ship all orders to the United States and European Union completely free of charge from local warehouses with no additional taxes, customs, or any other associated costs.

Our current estimate to have your hoodie ready to ship is mid-June. Please note that different regions may experience varying delivery times.

Once we ship your order, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number. Tracking availability may vary depending on last mile courier but the vast majority of orders are trackable.

You can return your new, unused hoodie with all tags attached for up to 30 days upon delivery. Items worn, washed, or altered will not be accepted for return.

To return your hoodie, simply contact our support team to receive a return label and send your new, unworn hoodie back with all tags attached to receive a refund or exchange.

You may refund your order at any time before your order ships. Once refunded, you will lose your place to receive your hoodie and any additional rewards that come with it.
